Chocolate Face Mask Recipe - A Guilt Free Way to Nourish and Soften Your Skin

Not only is it diet friendly, this chocolate face mask recipe is an excellent moisturizer that leaves your skin soft and glowing.

Known about since the times of the Mayas and the Aztecs, chocolate has a special place in our nutrition. It is filled with tryptophan, an essential amino acid that is a precursor of serotonin, neurotransmitter that is thought to regulate mood.

Facial Face Mask

Recently, a very popular massage offered in beauty salons is chocolate massage. It is one of the most gentle and relaxing massages available. Not only is it beneficial to the skin, it helps stabilize your mood by initiating serotonin release. It is very rejuvenating and helps you feel more at peace, happy, and relaxed.

I have also heard of chocolate body wax, similar to honey based honey wax. What makes it effective is sugar present in it, that makes it sticky and able to adhere to hairs. Due to fatty acids present in cocoa, the skin becomes soft and nourished.

Cocoa powder, which is what chocolate is made of, is a wonderful and powerful antioxidant. It protects and frees the skin from free radicals, that cause significant damage to skin layers.

It is a mistake to think that chocolate causes acne. Although chocolate has been blamed as one of the causes of acne , this has not been scientifically proven as of yet. Actually, dermatologists say that what causes acne in people who consume chocolate is milk that is added to it, not the chocolate itself. As I mentioned, it has free radicals present, and is far from detrimental so don't let a little myth stop you from consuming this divine treat :)

Facial Face Mask

This face mask is made out of completely natural but very effective ingredients. Here's what you'll need:

Strawberries (5 Big or 10 Small)
A little Oatmeal
1 Tbsp Honey

1. Remove the green from the strawberries, put it in the mixer and mix it until it's smooth
2. Blend the puree with oatmeal in a bowl, until you like the consistency and it's easy to work with.
3. Add the tsp of honey.
4. Apply the mixture on your clean face, neck or other area you want to exfoliate. Avoid eyes and other sensitive areas. Lie down and let it work for 10 to 15 minutes before you wash it of with lukewarm water.

The strawberries will have a cleansing and exfoliating effect, leaving your skin smoother than before. The oatmeal is also good at cleansing your skin from excess oil, in a gentle way, since it also delivers healthy fats. The honey is calming, moisturizing and great at taking care of any dryness.

If you have sensitive skin or are allergic to any of the ingredients, be careful about using just any face mask and try finding a recipe specifically for sensitive skin.

Remember to use natural skin care for your face daily too and to avoid regular moisturizers with chemicals. The best natural moisturizers and face masks have scientifically proven ingredients like natural vitamin E, active manuka honey and cynergy TK.
